Tom Del Rosso[_3_]
I'm sure some of you guys have used one of these with practically every
brand including older drives. What brand and type of adapter do you use?

A 300-Watt USB plug? by
Yousuf Khan[_2_]
After Intel's nearly killed USB 3.0 in favour of its sciene project,
LightPeak, it looks like it's now going the other way with suggestions
for new features for USB 3.0+. It's considering making increasing amount
of power USB ports are able to deliver, by both increasing voltage and
amperage....

Where to buy a screw driver head with 6-nodes? by
cpliu
I have to open an external HD enclosure with unusual screws. They have
6 nodes like flowers and is rather small. My toolkit does not have it.
It looks like the last one in http://zoice.com/2009/01/04/screw-head-classifications/
but with 6 nodes.
Thanks,

Are the connections to hard drive electronics soldered. by
mm
Earlier, I think we were talking about changing the electronics on a
hard drive. A video I watched said that only the torx screws have to
be removed (and I guess a connector unplugged) and thus implied that
no desoldering was necessary.
Is that true?
I know how to desolder and solder, but if...

Any way around that or to override the default?

partitioning. Does that make it relevant to that ng?)
The final question is:, Following the seemingly successful shrinking

Intellipower - misused or misunderstood marketing-speak? by

Measuring hard drive RPM by

I am aware that hard drives report their RPM via word 217 of their
512-byte Identify Device data block, but is there any utility that can
actually measure it? Nowadays Western Digital obfuscates the issue
with its Intellipower marketing speak.
The best method I have been able to find is to examine...

Using flashdrives and mobile software and U3. by

I'm confused. Does the U3 on Sandisk flashdrives make that brand
better for running mobile versions of software?
If so, how come the other makers don't come up with something similar,
or if they have it, how come I don't see it advertised on the
packaging! :)
Or can one just install U3 on other...
