4 VGA input multiplexer (4-PC's displayed simultaniously on 1 monitor) by
Scott B
Is there such a device that will allow the simultanious display of 4
VGA (800 * 600 *256colour) on a 19"TFT monitor ( capable of 1600 *
1200 ). This would be similar to the Security Video displays that
allow viewing of several video inputs on 1 monitor. A standard KVM
switch is not usefull in the...

400mhz fsb mobo and 800mhz fsb cpu by
BPrince6
This is a stupid question, but I want to make sure. I have a 400mhz
fsb motherboard, and I'd like to upgrade to a 3.2ghz 800fsb p4. The
highest 400fsb cpu is a p4 2.4ghz. Is that my only option for that
particular mobo ? Thanks.

64-bit or 32-bit: When will it matter? by
aether
Building a computer from scratch. It'll be built for someone who'll use
it for alot of things, but tilted in the 'gaming' direction. Should
whether the processor is 64-bit or 32-bit matter? If not, when? If so,
how so? In other words, should I go AMD or Intel? I understand AMD is
slightly faster...

800 Mhz FSB/PC 2700 by
lparker29
I have an Asus P4P8X MB with I865P chipset and P4 2.6 CPU with 800 Mhz
FSB. If I put PC2700 RAM in this, will the system be able to slow down
and run at 533 FSB speed? Anyone anticipate me having trouble running
this setup at 800FSB with PC3200 RAM?

Piyush
Hello everyone
Does anyone know if some 802.11b chips have built-in support for
ranging ? Alternatively is it possible to use any of the operating
modes of the 802.11 card to estimate distances ?
Thanks in advance.

bob
Trying to interface an 8051 with and EIDE hard drive. I start by
selecting the master device in the device control register. Then I
wait for the status register to say that the drive is ready and not
busy. For some reason the status register comes back as 0xFF always
and so the busy bit is always...

Environmentally friendly SD card! by
Q
Get this... I decide to get myself an SD card for my mp3 player. I go

they hand me this huge plastic thing the size of a scanner
(seriously... the darn thing's the size of my 8.5x11 EPP scanner!).
And sure enough, in the center...
