Identify SDRAM by
Christopher Chin
Hi,
Is there a way to tell whether a SRAM is PC66 or PC100 coz there is no
indentification sticker on it? Is there any software that will identify the
RAM ?
Thanks

Sounds of silence...and a whiney PSU. by
Strontium
Well, I am one step away from a nearly silent box. I love this server
tower, for it's cooling (2x80mm front intake, very open grill...2x80mm back
exhaust, 1x80mm side blowing on video card, 2x80mm in PSU). However, the
sheer noise was horrendous!
I started off by getting the Zalman ZM60a VGA...

Pentium 4 2.4 temperatures by
Lou Pratt
What are the "normal" operating temps for a P4 2.4ghz? I built a system
using an MSI 845 mb with the P4 and I'm getting readings in the bios of
50-54c with the case temperature at 35c. I've done some searching but the
results are mixed. Some say it's too high and others say it isn't. I
checked...

What's a round cable for? by
Evil Homer
They are for use on the new ATX-R motherboards. The "R" of course stands for
ROUND. It is a new motherboard to further advance the mod craze that is
happening in the computer world as of late.

Physical repair for IDE harddrive by
WDsux
Got a dead 7200 Western Digital drive (9 months old) I want to
get repaired. Just physically repaired. I will do the data
recovery.
It is not being recognized by the bios and makes
clicking/scratching sounds. Too far gone for software recovery
without the physical problem being repaired.
So,...

My trusty K7S5A finally croaked after 3 years and I am left deciding
which el cheapo mobo will last me for at least another 2 years. Accdg.
to reviews the Nforce2 400 chipset will kick the KT600' arse. However,
RAID, SATA, built in Wifi, and gigabit lan on the A7V600 seems too

PSU guide? by
Adrian
Yes, I seen that one, but after going through their fairly simplified
wizard, it recommended a 300watt PSU for my system. One of my
machines I need the PSU for has a 2.8GHz P4, 2GBs of ECC RAM, two
120GB HDDs, a CD/DVD burner, ATI video card (needing power via a
floppy cable), Audigy sound card, a...
