question about stability of AMD XP processors by
BillW
The real answer to your question is not which processor but who to buy it
from. If you are using it and depending on it for business then select a
local dealer that can support it if problems developed. Overclocking and
online games are not an option if you are depending on getting...

New PS by
Jeff S
My CWT 320W power supply croaked on me today after about a year. I'm using
my friend's 250W (!) power supply for now until I get a new one.
Surprisingly, things are working pretty well so far... I can even play games
without any problems.
Just wondering what the requirements are for an Athlon...

Palomino 2100+ vs. Thoroughbred 2000+ by
John Eckart
I have a KG7-RAID board and apparently the fastest CPU I can put in it is either the AMD SocketA AthlonXP Palomino (0.18 micron process) 2100+ or an AMD SocketA AthlonXP Thoroughbred (0.13 micron process) 2000+. I'm trying to figure out which is better, the faster clock speed of the Palomino or the...

FSB Question by
My Hotmail
My mobo supports up to 1.4G T-Bird at 200mhz FSB. What happens if I put a
1.4G 266mhz FSB in the socket?
(mobo = Gigabyte GA-7zx) I'm guessing it should run but the 1.4Ghz(266)
will clock at 1Ghz(200) ??
thanks

Athlon 900 system reboots randomly by
Dr. Mr. Horse
1) Make sure you're not overheating.
2) Try a new power supply.
3) Time to reinstall Windows (hope you don't have WinME)

DDR Dual Channel Question by
Dr. Mr. Horse
I have a Chaintech Zenith Nforce board, and I just got a matching PC2700
stick to make a pair. To run dual channel, do I just stick it in the DDR3
slot and go, or are there some settings I should change? I'm still running
them at 166mhz.
Thanks for any tips!

Iam trying to increase the memory to the max of 768MB. I have tried...
