Kinda goes together with the "inside" logo change. As if they at INTC
have nothing else to take care of.

Whither Horus ? by
Rob Stow
The SuperComputing 2005 shindig in Seattle is over - with no news
about the Horus demo that was supposed to have happened there.
Google/Yahoo doesn't find anything other than pre-conference
speculation.
Anybody got solid news about what did or didn't happen ?

power off problem by
Bill Butler
I am experiencing odd behavior during power off. The first symptom I
noticed was at the point during the power off sequence when normally
the power would go completely off, the speakers made a noise like
dit-dit-dit-dit in a slowing sequence that finally stopped. The dits
started about 3/sec and...

L3 cache for quad-core Opterons? by
YKhan
Geek.com Geek News - AMD's quad-core CPUs will also sport L3 cache
http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/2005Nov/bch20051116033332.htm
Looks like the L3 cache is more like the buffer in a network switch. It
will keep data localized as much as possible to prevent too much cache
coherency traffic from...

VIA doesn't want Intel license anymore by
YKhan
I'm not entirely sure what VIA is going to stop using of Intel's, from
this article. Are they referring to it's not going to renew its x86
license? I can't see how VIA can possibly get around that one. Or are
they saying that VIA is not going to renew its bus license with Intel?
This one is an...

Itanium dropping fast on Top500 list by
YKhan
Itanium was (recently) supposed to be a specialist in the HPC market,
was it not? It's gone from 84 systems down to 46. So it doesn't look
like it's very good for the HPC market either. What's left in niches?
Itanium loses out in supercomputing rankings - ZDNet UK...
