embedded video drivers by
nutso fasst
Hello.
Anyone know anything about embedded VIA UniChrome chips?
I want to run NT4 server on a CLE266 board with embedded UniChrome 3D. I
don't care about 3D or video accelleration, but I do want something more
than 640x480x4 resolution. VIA doesn't have an NT driver for the CLE266
board, but they...

CoolTechZone.com - Is AMD Doomed?
"The thing I find most interesting in this battle of silicon supremacy

AMD has a response to Intel Woodcrest server chips

SO-DIMM Ram backwards compatability! by
markimaro
Hi,
I am thinking about upgrading my laptop rams which my motherboard
seems to support PC2100 as specified by the manual.
It currently has 2x256 PC2100 DDR266 Rams ( 512mb in total).
Is it possible to use PC2700 rams? Or it just wouldn't work with my
system?
Are all SODIMM rams backward...

World's most competant school-board IT department? by

All I can say is, "wow!" I've never seen a school board IT department
that just *knows* it's job inside out like these guys from Victoria,
Australia. I've never seen an IT department that just knows its stuff
like this, period. They hack together their own customized Linux kernel
which they slot...

I've been looking at the power requirements for HP blade servers. Using
their power calculator, I need 80 Amps, roughly 1.6 Amps per blade (2 x

this is a 'real world' figure? Or are HP being conservative? If so,...

DDR2 performance issues caused delay in Socket AM2 by
YKhan
Looks like they found that they had to respin the DDR2 memory
controller circuitry, because it wasn't performing too well. That's why
it's now slated to be released by June 6, 2006 (6-6-6, btw), instead of
earlier.

AMD offers no motherboard: why? by
tony
I think I know why: becuase it followed the path early on to allow
3rd parties to make the motherboards and now it's worried about
the relationship with those vendors. If AMD offered it's own board,
yes it would hurt the 3rd parties, but it's own profits would soar I
think. AMD recognizes the...
