Synch memory? by Mr. Land
I recently acquired 3 SDRAM modules; they're 256 MB each and marked as PC133 SYNCH ECC. I tried them in an old AX6BC motherboard I have and no matter which ones/how many I install the BIOS only report approx 131 MB. Would upgrading the BIOS help or is this mb just incapable of handling this RAM? ...

Is it worth upgrading from AthlonXP 2400 to XP 3200?? by [email protected]
My motherboard can take up to Athlon XP3200. I currently have the Athlon XP 2400 and PC400 DDR. I want to upgrade but keep the cost down as well. Is it worth making the upgrade? The chip is only $115, shipped. I could maybe get $50 for my old chip. Total cost is just $65. What do you guys...

Via Processors by Mike M
Can anyone tell me where I can find comprehensive info on Via processor compatibility issues? I'm wondering if the newer chips are fully compatible rather than near-compatible. I've seen posts that claim the near-compatibility is not an issue, but my experience leads me to belive otherwise. ...

Last rites declaration of Ioannes Paulus PP. II (Karol Wojtyla) by Ioannes Paulus PP. II (Karol Wojtyla)

what needs 12V power? by Wayne
Probably a dumb question, won't be my first. But other than disk drive motors and fans, what computer component needs all the 12V amperage in new high power supplies? I have an older Antec TruePower 380 watt supply, which furnishes 28A 3.3V, 30A 5V, and 18A 12V. Runs fine with four disks and...

Suggestions on programs to test stability? by VovaM
I have a E6400 @ 2800, and I'd like to make sure it's reeeeeally stable. It seems to be stable in Prime95 and Orthos, although I've only been running them for 2 hours each.
