I have a Compaq Presario 2232US and would like to replace the DVDROM/CDRW drive with a DVD writer. Newegg.com has an AOpen Slim DVD Burner and in one of the reviews the person said they had used it in a Presario R3000. Anyone know if this burner would work in my Compaq 2232US laptop?

Reimaging from scratch a 6027ca (Canadian Version) with XP Pro. Can't determine Ethernet card type. Can someone check theirs or let me know? Web site gives no information other than Intel 10/100 and NO drivers. I do not have recovery CD.
