Ant[_3_]
Hello.
Lately, I have been getting random and rare kernel panics on my old
Debian/Linux box (tried both Kernel versions 2.6.30 and 2.6.32). I
couldn't figure out what it was until I discovered mcelog a couple days
ago, and it revealed interesting scary datas in my dmesg/messages and
syslog:

-12v @ -8v Is this ok? by
Marc O. Weinmann
Hi all,
I recently installed a shuttle ak39n with an athlon 1500+ into a case that
I was not sure had a proper power supply for the board and chip. The
computer appears to run fine, but when I install motherboard monitor, the
voltages are in-line, except for the -12v line, which reads -8.33v.
Is...

-Need help on a new computer... by
Eric
-Hi there, I'm hoping some might be kind enough to help me out as I
know nothing about computers anymore and would rather not do 20+ hours
of research...
What I do:
Surf and play poker on-line: Not power intensive.

Play newer shoot'em up games: Very power intensive.

1.485 Gbit/s to and from HDD subsystem by
Spoon
Hello,
I've been asked to build a system capable of reading and writing "raw"
high-definition video, namely HD-SDI.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_Digital_Interface
AFAIK no single HDD can handle 1.485 Gbit/s (186 MB/s).
I suppose one way around this problem is RAID 0 (striping).
