Pls advise what is wrong with my 1.44MB FDD by

I am running Win XP Pro and previously, my Sony 1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive is
working perfectly until recently, I wondered what or why is causing my
inability to read or assessing my FDD. There is always this message
prompting;
Disk is not formatted
The disk in drive A is not formatted.

Has AMD stopped publishing recommended PS's? by

I went to the AMD website looking for the recommended power supply
list, and it looks like AMD just publishes links to the manufacturer's
websites now. Doesn't look like it's doing the PS lab testing anymore.
Anyone know anything about this?

Unless this is way off the mark, what advantage is a 64bit chip going to
have for desktop performance? I can see where a server/database/large
number crunching with a bunch of ram it would be great but for typical
desktop use it doesn't seem like...

AMD Athlon MP 2800? by

Hi
I got a system with dual Athlon MP 2800+ CPUs, under Win XP Pro, and during
boot the BIOS says that the system has "Unknown CPU type", but does give the
2800+ designation.
Is this normal?
