Recently upgraded from Intel 845 IDE board to Intel 915 SATA board with

Does Acronis True Image Home 2011 stores some recovery records ? by
Castor Nageur[_2_]
Hi all,
I am actually trying Acronis TIH 2011.
* But because a backup is a very sensible file, do you know if TIH
stores some recovery records like WinRAR does or like you can do
externally with QuickPAR?
Thanks to these records, you can recover a corrupted archive.
I searched in the Acronis...

Samsung HD204UI 2Tb Spinpoint: cooling required? by

I'd like to buy a Samsung HD204UI (Spinpoint F4EG). As this would be my
first 2TB drive, I'd like to know if it runs hot (i.e. if it requires
cooling), or if it can safely be hosted in a Lacie Ext. USB enclosure with
no fans. I Know that practically every lower capacity drive (up to 1 TB,...

Intel discloses a flaw with its SATA implementation by
Yousuf Khan[_2_]
They say that the 6Gbps ports aren't affected, but I think that's simply
because Intel doesn't produce those ports itself, those are produced by
3rd parties such as Realtek or VIA, etc.

Hello.
I am trying to figure out and fix a client's old Sony Vaio
laptop/notebook with 1 GB of RAM and 32-bit Vista Business. Basically,
it doesn't load up its desktop fully. I do see a graphical splash screen
loader and then a black desktop with a movable white mouse cursor, but
that's it....
