If only online PC shops where like viking-direct by
[email protected]
It struck me today that online suppliers really have no excuse for their
shoddy customer services, or lack of "human" support, or constantly
failed delivery promises.
I deal with viking-direct, supplier of office consumables and equipment,
on a weekly basis for our office supplies ( I have...

Just to let you all know of my problem with dabs.
Ive been a good customer with them for almost 10 years, until now.

graphics card. Got all the order promptly, so far so good. Checked my
graphics card and realised I had mistakenly...

Sods law by
Dr Teeth
Looking for a Samsung ML 2250 laser printer.
Sods law, can only find it at retailers that I'd rather not do
business with, eg Microwarehouse, E-Buyer...
Anybody know a decent retailer that sells it? I've exhausted my
bookmarks.

WTB -PC Answerphone Software by
Palindr☻me
Hi,
Can anyone sell me a legit copy of a PC Answerphone package? Such
packages used to come with the modem, not many moons ago - but don't
seem to anymore.
The sort with different mailboxes and where different messages can be
left for different people is what I have in mind. I have a local...

CCL too careful for their own good by
Dr Teeth
Use a credit card to place an order, with a card that I've used
before. Because this order was for £1,400 and the last one for £40,
they would not deliver to my work address as they had done before.
Cancelled the order as I am not prepared to spend that sort of money
without credit card...

Need RAM for Dell Dimension by
news
A neighbour has a Dell Dimension L700cx. He wants to upgrade the RAM to
2 x 256MB.
I tried PC World (who didn't have any) and Maplin (who quoted the
outrageous price of £140.00 for 512MB).
I tried getting on-line to Dabs this morning, but their site is off air.
So where can my neighbour get the...

PC World Price Match Dixons ;-) by
John Perry
Don't you love PC World!
Went in there today as I wanted an ink jet CD-Printer and the EPSON
SP900 fitted the bill. I had seen it advertised in the Telegraph at
£99.99 at Dixons, and by mistake I thought I'd seen it in PC World's
Advert.
Anyway, PC World were doing it £30 off at £149.99, as it...

Has any one ever got postage refund from Ebuyer for returns by
dk
Hi,
I recently had to return a faulty motherboard and power supply from the same
order. This cost of returning them soon negates any price advantage buying
from them.
I know it says in their terms and conditions that buyers pay for returns,
but surely this should not be right.
Has anybody...

Anyone know anything about Key Computers (in Uxbridge I believe)?
My daughter has just won a free "prize" of a computer from them
(provided she pays £116.33 for one-year's maintenance).

Is this reasonable? by

I took delivery of a DVD player last Tuesday. (from a major uk component
supplier) I was unable to test it until saturday, and it has an intermittent
fault where the front buttons sometimes work and sometimes don't (they work
about 20% of the time). There is an LED on the front which sometimes...
