Negative exprience : Dabs Refund by
[email protected]
I am trying to return a reconditined TV bought from the DABS website.
They are refusing to take it back on the grounds that it has been
"opened & used"
I am returning it because I am not happy with the picture quality and
the being "reconditioned" the box was opened and the TV used anyway.

CD/DVD media with cheap postage? (UK) by
Paul Hutchings
I need to get some more CD/DVD media and don't really want to be paying
£8 postage on £20 worth of media.
Any suggestions/recommendations for cheap postage or anywhere doing free
postage (i can hope!) at the moment?
cheers,
Paul

WTF? 'Warranty void if seal broken' stickers? by
Jim Howes
I have just received two pre-built 'budget' PC's from a vendor who, for the time
being, shall remain nameless (unless, of course, I fail to get a satisfactory
response to this question from them). You are of course, free to name, shame,
praise or otherwise guess as to A) Who you think it is, and...

RMA for a dead mobo? by
Dan
I purchased a mobo in late December 2002 but its now developed a fault
(bulging caps). As the 12 month warranty has expired is there any chance of
returning it to the vendor or manufacturer for a replacement?
I bought it from CPUCity.co.uk, and its a Leadtek mobo. I would normally
just chuck it...

Citylink, the professionals, as always. by
Black Shuck
Bought myself a new laptop last week, a Sony Vaio FS-295XP (very nice, I
think). Anyway, it was delivered by Citylink (if I had known, I would
have ordered elsewhere), but at least it arrived on the scheduled day,
which is a good start.
Anyway, Saturday morning, in my part of the world, it was...

Why is one required to supply irrelevant details? by
Interesting Ian
Could someone please explain to me why online retailers demand information
which is wholly irrelevant to the purchase in question? I was going to
order a hard drive from www.kikatek.com, but they demand to know my date of
birth, my gender, and my landline telephone number! Why on earth should...

Buying from other vendor through Amazon by
Sandi
I go to Amazon UK for an MP3 player.
I find Amazon lists an MP3 player which will be supplied by Pixmania.
I would like to know this .....
Is Amazon acting as an agent (so my contract is with Pixmania) or as a
reseller (so my contract with Amazon)?
Comments suggest Pixmania is generally ok...

standard 1-3 day...

Dan B
I bought a nice shiny Geforce 6600GT AGP from Scan a few days ago and
unfortunately it appears not to work with my system. I dont know whether the
card is faulty or whether it is just incompatible with one of the components
in my system. It works fine until it gets to trying to display Windows...
