I have a Shuttle AN35N Ultra nForce2 board. I use the onboard sound and I get a whine out of either speakers or headphones pretty constantly after I start using sound say in a game or whatever. I can go back to Windows or whatever and there is a slightly high pitched sound. Also if you do...

Is 333 FSB backwards compatible with 266 FSB? by Dan
Hi, I was planning on getting an Athlon XP 2600+ for my Asus motherboard (A7N266-E) but I can't seem to find the 266 FSB version. I'm wondering if the 333 FSB one will work with my motherboard. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Dan

Recommend a quiet PSU by PhilG
I use the Antec 550 True Control 550W Dual Fan with front panel control for voltage adjustments and fan speed control. You can set the fan speed where you want it and if the power supply gets too hot the temp monitor speeds it up to cool down the supply. I cannot hear it running above the CPU...
