Unable to wake my monitors up from their sleeps/turn offs? by
Ant
Hello.
I find this super rare problem annoying for years. Once in a while (a
few times per year?) on all updated Windows (XP Pro. SP3 and 64-bit W7
HPE) PCs with ATI video cards (Radeon HD 4870, 4350, etc.) and various
Catalyst suite drivers, I am unable to wake my LCD monitors up from
their...

Omicron
Hello all,
I have an HP-Pavilion FK792AA-ABA a6600f, which houses a FOXCONN Napa
HP motherboard.
This MB has four (4) slots:
One PCI
Two PCI ex1
One PCI ex16
I'd like to watch 3D Blueray videos on this machine (and maybe even
play a few of those 3D games).

ATI 6770 1GB vs 2GB in HP dv7t laptop by
Steve
I have an HP dv7t laptop with a 1GB ATI 6770 video card in it. I need to
play 1080p HD video on screen 2 and have it NEVER
hiccup/pause/blink/whatever, and have it do it all day long. I have found
on rare occasion 1080p video will pause for 1/4 second or so. Not good.
Will getting the same...

ATI, ASUS, Win 7, Audio Driver ALC1200 and crashes by
Chuck
After a fairly long and somewhat pain full process--
The Audio Driver for the Realtek ALC 1200 sound chip used on the ASUS
M4A79 Deluxe motherboard turns out to be the culprit for random video
corruption, crashing, and sound corruption. This has been a very pesky
problem, since it typically...

Catalyst 11.5 Deinterlacing Problem by
Ed Light
On my Win 7 32-bit machine with Catalyst 11.5, when I set deinterlacing
to vector adaptive and pulldown on, they slip back to bob and pulldown off.
Going back to 11.3 cured it.

ATI Catalyst driver can't remember to use 70hz for VGA connection? by
Ant[_3_]
Hello.
I noticed using video's 70hz is clearer and show no flickers with dark
blue background compared to 60hz. I switch between DVI and VGA, through
Catalyst Control Center, because I use an over decade old Belkin
OmniCube KVM to share the devices (PS/2 mouse, 19" Samsung 931BF LCD

New Gigabyte 5870 issue and fix by

Just built a new system with a Gigabyte GV-R587UD-1GD and in 3D games
it would flash to a blank screen (not blank really, lots of vertical

download the Gigabyte VGA @BIOS utility and the new F8 BIOS (came with

Losing time when watching videos fullscreen on my old CRT TV. by
Ant[_3_]
FYI. In http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?p=1336503410 forum
thread, http://www.thesycon.de/dpclat/dpclat.exe (DPC Latency Checker)
was mentioned so I tried it.
I started this program with a clone of my desktop to CRT TV (640x480).
Green and low results. Then, I started up a fullscreen...

Losing time when watching videos fullscreen on my old CRT TV. by
Ant[_3_]
Weird. It looks like I isolated down to more. It seems like DVI setup
and has nothing to do with clone fullscreen video on TV. If I use
DVI+VGA adapter + VGA cables setup through my old four ports OmniCube
KVM (from Y2K with its cables), then no time losses. This doesn't make
any sense to me!...

Losing time when watching videos fullscreen on my old CRT TV. by
Ant[_3_]
Hello.
How come my PC/Windows' clock loses a few seconds per minute (seems to
pause about every four or five seconds for about a half of a second)
when I use CRT TV clone and watching videos fullscreen on my old 20" CRT
TV (from 1996)? If I am not watching videos on it or use single display...
