I was thinking of purchasing a Clevo Barebones system on Ebay and was just
wondering would the Hard Drive, Ram, and Dvd-Rom from my gateway laptop be

I recently put in a new motherboard, Chaintech Apogee Deluxe 7VJL which
has an on-board LAN chip VIA6103 10/100Mbps or 1/10Mbps Home PNA 2.0.
The problem is, I can't get the LAN connection to work. If I enable it in

PNP os installed to 'NO' in the CMOS? reset configuration data to 'enable'
, your booting order is still set to the CD rom 1st so its going there FIRST
change the order back to HDD 1st or remove the disk.

What's the difference, if any, in having the BIOS configure PnP devices, or
letting the OS configure them? Or, is this purely subjective? I was in my
bios and happened to notice I had another choice if the OS did not
feature/support PnP. Just curious.
