Are the nforce2 Ultra 400 boards worth touching? by
+c0re-
from what I've gathered reading up on this today, they are mostly a revised
version of the nforce2 SPP boards just with the new chipset on.
Are these worth touching yet or would it be wise to let the platform mature
a bit instead of buying one of the first boards? any advice appreciated :)
thanks

Best one I've seen so far is the shuttle Mn31N, but according to
shuttle's website it doesn't appear to officially support 400Mhz bus

Bus CPU's.
I might be way off...

Bartons using the 400 Mhz FSB by
Roger Squires
I suggest a 2500+ barton, it will happily run at 2800+ (or 3200+) speeds, at
quite a bit less.

My MSI K7N2 Delta L main board goes back to newegg tomorrow by
No Data Sent
Please tell me if I'm making a mistake by sending it back. Right now I
have it running at 11 x 200 with the vcore set at 1.725. It will post
at 2300 but windows will not load. I can live with that. CPU temp is
32C and it's been as high as 40C under load ( the room is 79F right
now). Dawn Demo and...

BIOS CPU Speed: Can I change this? by
David Mills
For the first time I have been actually looking in my BIOS and I found
this CPU Speed setting. Currently it is at 100mhz/100 or something
like that. But I can change it all the way up to 133mhz/133 I belive.
Should I change this setting? Just asking because I'm not familiar
with BIOS settings...

Problem Solved by
Gary Young
I replaced my Leadtek K7NCR18 with an Epox 8KRA+ and my 2500+ Barton works
with all three brands of memory I have tried in it. The Leadtek is great
with the 133/266 2100+ Palomino so I will keep it to run that processor in a
second machine.

Arctic Silver or Arctic Alumina? by
Ransack The Elder
Any thoughts on them? Is Alumina as good as Silver? I have some of each I
can use, but the Silver is about a year old while I just got the Alumina the
other day so it's fresher. I'm thinking go Alumina mainly because it's newer
unless there's a good reason not to.

MSI K7N2 D and athlon 2400+. Set it at 24x100 and wouldn't go , not even
bios. Cleared cmos, and reset jumper 10 , which is safe mode, and still
nothing, Think it's toast?
