Upon opening the processor up, I was horrified to find that AMD have a

Which is more critical fan size or fan speed ? by
Steve
OK, I've just switched from a volcano 7+ (which was giving me cpu temp
under load of 54+) to a Q tec (cheap and nasty) and my load temp is now
43 ???? I've o/c'd from a 2500+ to a 3200+ and the load temp is still
only 51. The V7 was running at 4500 rpm while the q tec is at 2700.
Now I would...

From what I understand this is an awfully hot cpu.( 50-55 C under load)
I just bought a Barton XP2500+ that will go into a Asus A7N8X.
Will I get better cooling out of my Volcano 7 or the stock AVC 112C86
that came with the...
