Cooking Bacon on my nForce2 South-Bridge (again). by
Wayne Youngman
Hi,
I just bought myself a new Digital Thermometer today, and the first thing I
could think of testing was the *South-Bridge* of the NF7-S system I just
sold.
Since the machine didn't have any hard-disks I just let it load up memtest
x86 and loop for a while.
15 minutes later. . . .the reading...

Mobile Athlons in homebuilts by
feneerx
Is anyone doing this? I'm getting real excited about the mobile Athlon XP
2400+ that consumes only 45 watts. Making it much easier to cool and hear
it's overclockable. Runs cool for the silent PC crowd too.
Thanks
Fens

µGuru - It's nice! by
Wayne Youngman
Hi all,
well after a few days playing around with an AN7 (?Guru) I just wanted to
share my thoughts on it with anyone who is geek enough to be interested.
I'm sure you all know about it (in theory) but having used it for a few days
I quite like it.

48C for barton 2500+ ok? by
Hector Maldonado
I just bought a Barton 2500+ and overclocked it to 3200 by raising the
voltage to 1.75v (reading 1.776v ) and FSB to 200. It was not stable with
lower voltages. I am using a Vantec Aeroflow cooler and Artic Silver3
paste. The tempearture is gone up to 48C with heavy load using
Folding@home. ...

Yes... I thought that this would be good... and it actually was too good to
be true! Buyers beware!
I did purchase that board couple days ago. Here are my thoughts and
experiences with it:
The retail box did not come with the manual (had to download manual from ecs
web site). Also the driver CD...

2500+ Burnin by
Donny Darko
I ran my 2500 @ 3200+ (2.2 Ghz ) for over 20 Hours on Prime95 stress test.
It did this without a single error. Temps peaked about 42C. Running at stock
1.65 voltages in an Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev. 2.0 Board. Is the general
consensus that 20 Hours on Prime95 adequete to verify stability ?
Thanks

athalon xp2500 or 3000? by
Lord Deckard
I have just bought an XP3000 system, but when I look at the chip it says
XP2500, Have I been duped? or is there a rational explanation?
Well, if you've paid for a system with an XP3000 chip but it's clearly
stamped XP2500, I'd say you need to be talking to your retailer!

AthlonXP-M for 133MHz FSB m/b? by
before
Hi. This is not quite overclocking, but this is the best place to ask :)
I'm looking to upgrade my Asus A7V133-VM KM133A 133MHz FSB motherboard.
The fastest thing I can see to put in this FSB speed is an Athlon
XP-Mobile Barton 2600+ 133/266MHz FSB 2.13GHz.
Would this be likely to work in my...
