Draggonfodder
I just bought an M2N-E and a new case. I also bought an Nspire 650 watt

motherboard is 4 pin and the ATX12V 2,2 connector from the power supply has
six pins....

680i vs P965 vs P975X by
Walter_S
As I try to figure out the differences between Core2Duo motherboards I
browsed to Toms Hardware to read up a bit and from an article back in
Dec 2006 they were saying that the nVidia chipset of the 680i based
motherboards are more advanced (better) than the intel 965 and 975x
chipsets. Is this...

P5B-E Plus: 0616 bios is broken, how to downgrade? by
Mikael Pettersson
My P5B-E Plus has a Core2Duo E6600 SL9S8. The mobo
came with the 0304 BIOS.
Recently I started getting EHCI handoff errors when
cold-booting into Linux, and some annoying warnings
about bad checksums in ACPI tables, so I looked for
a newer BIOS, found the 0616 one, and updated to it.
However,...

Front Panel I/O location on P5xxxx by
Walter_S
I recently built up a P5W64 in an Asus P900 case. Unfortunately the
front panel I/O connectors were in the bottom left (when the board is
viewed with the rear I/O (keyboard, mouse, etc) in the upper
left)(like shown in manual).
Antec provided a long enough cable to get there but not long...

P5B-E and overclocking an E6700 by
troop
To set up the cpu @ 3 GHz I must up the FSB frequency to 300 MHz. As we know it now runs
@ 266.The memory I use is rated as PC 800 and runs at that speed now. Once the FSB runs
@ 300 I will have to ruduce the memory speed to keep it @ 800. How do I do that ? And do
I have to increase any...

P5B-E and E6850 by
Lowly Engineer
I just installed an E6850. I have overclocked the chip to 3.825 GHz,
and it is running cool and stable.
My problem is - I have VCore set to 'Auto' in the BIOS and CPUZ
reports VCore as 1.22V, while ASUS PROBE reports
it as 1.525! I really don't want to run my CPU at that high a
voltage. Which...

CPU-Z not working with P5K? by
Pooh-Man
P5K+E6850 cpu. CPU-Z is reading as 6x333mhz=2ghz in XP and in Vista64 it
fluctuates between 6x333mhz and 9x333mhz. I have speedstep disabled in the
bios so why am I getting this discrepancy and am not using power savings
that should affect this.

is a known problem of this board due to a bad battery.
As the BIOS chip is removable on...
