Deskpro EP 6400 /w SMART2-SL Controller by
GeeAnn
I actually don't quite remember how i managed to get that combination
running, but I am quite sure it involved resetting the system to it's
default values using the System Management Boot Disks. Anyway, it
seems that the system loses the controller and thus the logical drive
on the array everytime...

Deskpro EP hard disk replacement by
Pat
The hard disk on my DeskPro EP (300Mhz Celeron) died and I would like to
replace it. I'll probably look for something off of eBay, but I'm not sure
what to look for in terms of specs. The original drive was 4.3GB, although
I wouldn't mind something larger. Would any 4.3 GB drive work? Could I...

News
For the last week or so, a Deskpro EXM/815/P1.0 running Win2K sp4 black
screens and shuts down unexpectedly - 100% repeatable - during nightly
Ghost 9.0 backup. Starts up again manually in the morning.
I ran the Ghost job and babysat it during the daytime to see what
happens and it does as...

Deskpro SFF 600p by
Patty
I have an older Deskpro SFF system. Model #ENS/P600/13b/9/64c. It uses
the Intel 810e chipset. BIOS ROM is 686J1 v2.10. I'm wondering what is
the largest hard drive it can use? Currently it has a Seagate 13GB HD. Is
it subject to the 32GB limit? Does anyone know? Thanks much.

Deskpro Small Form Factor & USB Keyboard by
Richard
Hi,
It spits out a 'keyboard error, press F1 to boot' if I boot without a
keyboard plugged into the keyboard PS2 port.
It doesn't seem to recognise the USB keyboard that is attached, so I plug a
board back into the PS2 and press F1 and it boots up as normal.
Is there a way to get it to recognise...

I got my hands on a few Compaq DeskPro 6000 (Pentium Pro 200)
computers. After going thru about 20 of them, I have about 6 of them
that won't boot from the floppy disk.
If I install a hard drive and set it all up with the Diagnostic
Partition and Windows 98 SE, I have no problem booting and...

Deskpro XE466 by
[email protected]
Got out a Deskpro XE466 that had been working perfectly only to find
that it now performs a memory check then stops and goes no further.
Could it be the CMOS battery and, if so, how do you change it? A lame
question I know but the battery appears to have a lug fitted to it that
connects to the...

My Compaq Presario 5106 is infected with a vx2 virus that absolutely
