jameson
Hi all;
At my new job I kind of inherited this PDC that has a celeron
installed (1.4ghz, 100MHz external bus) and it runs nt 4.0 sp6a.
I am wanting to upgrade to server 2000 this summer but would rather it
be a pentium system than a celeron.
Does anyone know which pentium will fit the same slot...

1450 Problem by
Michael Brown
I have a few questions. Is it possible if I put the wrong CPU in a Solo
1450, that it will ruin the motherboard? The chip that came out of it was
is a 1.33ghz 256 cache. It went bad...I'm assuming. I no longer have that
chip. Anyway. I got a 1.13ghz 512 cache and put in it. The same...

19" LCD Monitor by
Riga LVB
I'm in a market for a new Monitor. I am considering 3 LCD makes, and I am
willing to spend approx $500. The brands I am interested are
1. Sony, 2. NEC, 3. Viewsonic. Should I consider other brands, and would
like to hear your experience, pro and contra, with these makes.

200STM hard drive upgrade by
Charles Hawtrey
Does anyone have instructions for replacing the hard drive on a Gateway

200X questions by
Turner Morgan
I just purchased a Gateway 200X. A few days later I also got a Logitech USB
Wireless Optical Mouse for Notebooks. Can anyone *really* use that touchpad
thing? After accidently moving some subdirectories (sorry, I grew up on DOS
and cannot bring myself to call them "folders") using the touchpad,...

24" or 26" LCD size? by
Wettlesheim
Even though my trusty 1998 Gateway VX900 19" monitor is still working
perfectly I'm considering about upgrading to a LCD monitor. I been
told that a 26" monitor is only good for gaming and a person needs to
sit away from it about 4 feet, in other words a waste for ordinary
computer use such as...

Postman Delivers
I spent 20 minutes using a 27 inch 2560x1440 Dell monitor, was neat to

manipulate a few multi layer graphics...
Makes my 1920x1080 monitor like a small toy screen...

305X Notebook by
Frank Dennis
I'm looking for a notebook that won't put me over the edge. I don't need
all the fancy bells, and whistles.
I plan on using it on a lengthy trip to load map data, store photos, and
do the email net thing.
I took a look at the 305X at a local Gateway store, and it seemed to
meet my needs.
