Intel graphic 852 GM + display orientation by
Alexandre COUSSON
Hi everybody,
I'm looking for a way to change display orientation programmaticaly (Visual
C++ 6).
Generally I use ChangeDisplaySettings with or without DM_DISPLAYORIENTATION
depending on graphic chipsets. But with the Intel 852, I can only change
resolution.
Any idea ?

Emulating a processor by
Gromer
Hi all,
I'm interested to understand the processor architecture in depth. So i
decided on emulating the processor itself (as my project). The best one
to start would be 386.
So i wud require some documents which explains on how to emulate any
processor or devices. ( Apart from the Intel...

Testing assembler code on a real Itanium by
David
Hello,
I do not have an Itanium chip at home. But I would like to do some
tests, so is it possible to access one for free (in order to test
assembler code) ?
As I would like to use some very specific properties of the chip,
it is not possible to emulate it by software.
Regards,

New Intel flash chip released by
Bill Davidsen
Intel has released their M18 flash chip, in sizes to 512MB and packages
to 1GB. 3x write speed and 2x read speed over L18.
The article has some interesting discussion of NOR vs. NAND flash.

Athlon question revisited by
Bill Davidsen
Let's keep asking, has anyone run similar Athlon X2 chips with 512k and
1M cache on a similar integer workload, and if so was there any
measurable difference?
I'm looking at the 4{2,4,6}00+ chips trying to guess if the larger cache
will reduce memory contention. If I read the description correctly...

Porting Applications on 64 Bit by
[email protected]
I read a lot of things about migrating 32-bit apps to 64-bit apps but
I'm actually interested in compiling 32-bit VB6 applications on a
Windows 64 platform and the binaries to work on 32-bit client machines.
In other words is it possible to compile 32-bit applications as 100%
32-bit applications on...
