Tired of hot processor on P9X79 by
Bill Anderson
I've described my problem before on this newsgroup, and I've received
some helpful advice which I considered carefully and ... didn't act
upon. But this time, I promise, I'm about to solve my problem one way
or another.
Back in September, 2012, I built my current computer around an Asus
P9X79...

Hello,
My MSI NX8800GTS 512MB OC graphics card just failed and I need to

UX302L: Keeping Battery at 50% ? by
(PeteCresswell)
Recently read some credible comments to the effect that Li batteries
last longer if kept at 50% rather than 100%.
My UX302L rarely goes off of AC and when it does it usually needs to
last less than an hour on battery power.
So....
Is there anything I can run that will tell Asus' battery manager...

WiFi Networking Question by

I'm doing volunteer work at a local non-profit where I've donated a
desktop I created mostly out of odds and ends I had lying around.
Actually it's a pretty nice system built around an Asus P5Q Pro Turbo
mbo running 64-bit Win10. I have it plugged into the non-profit's
network with an ethernet...

cannot power "on" ASUS laptop after power outage by
Adam
System: ASUS N61JQ (laptop)
Host OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
After a power outage yesterday, pressing the power button of
ASUS laptop does nothing. The laptop was/is connected to
an APC battery backup (surge protection only) outlet (via AC adapter).
AC adapter's green light is "on".
Any ideas?

Advice for upgrading Compaq 100B by

Good day all.
I realize I'm a bit early asking for opinions, but for the first time
since motherboards with a classic PCI bus, we get motherboards where we
can use a PCIe slot without loosing 1/2 the board's slots, USB ports, M2
slots, etc in the process (thanks to Intel finally realizing that...

Hi.
Is there any way to check for connectivity issues with the wireless keyboard

Somehow the keyboard refuses to hook up with the pc and it seems impossible
to resolve this issue.
We have two identical pcs here, and both wireless...

Maximus VII Hero with Hyper 212 Evo by
B00ze/Empire
Good day.
I plan on getting an Asus Hero VII board, and use air cooling on the
CPU. That board has all I need, but I am worried about the heatsinks
that are over the voltage regulators around the CPU. They /look/ huge,
and I am afraid they will get in the way of air coolers, specifically
the...

Accessing BIOS in ASUS K55N laptop by

Does anyone know how to access the BIOS in a new ASUS K55N laptop

Most of the articles I've found say it should come up when you hit F2
upon seeing the ASUS logo but it's not happening for me. Some articles
mention some kind of security feature to keep someone from booting...
