This article http://www.reed-electronics.com/electronicnews/article/CA6302506.html is also interesting because it's about copper bump posts used in the connection of die to substrate -- seems to help with RoHS regs -- but.... looks like maybe Presler et.al. is the "real" 65nm from Intel.... at...

Supermicro out of the AMD closet? by George Macdonald
They've officially signed up for the AMD SVP http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/060124/20060123006174.html?.v=1 but there are still no signs of AMD-based products shown by simply navigating their Web site product lists. A search there for "opteron" turns up four 1U chassis products but they don't appear...

AMD vs Intel - Ghz & performance question by Big McLargehuge
This may seem like a stupid question, but please humor me. I currently have a rig with a P4 2.8Ghz cpu. I'm thinking of getting a new machine and relegating my current one to secondary duties and am looking at AMD instead of Intel. I got my Intel cpu about 2 years ago, and the newer AMD CPUs...

slocket 3 by usoll55
I'm playing with an older gateway pentium 2. I've got a slocket 3 adapter and a Pentium 3 processor 866/256/133/1.7v SL4CB. I'm having some confusion about the jumper settings. The settings are, 66MHz, 100MHz, 133MHz, and AUTO. Do I match the MB at 66MHz, match the processor at 133MHz, or use AUTO....

Sorry if this question has been asked a million times before but I have lost track of processors a bit and am using a 750 MHz Pentium 111 Vaio laptop of some vintage. I have just been given a 1.2 GHz Thinkpad A31 which has a Celeron processor and am wondering if the speed would make it worthwhile...
