I bought an HP desktop a few weeks ago. It is a s3700y (pavilion

adapter driver Belkin G F5D7050 for wireless internet. The system

RF[_4_]
While trying to setup an Internet Connection (dialup) on Box 1 a few weeks
ago I came across an odd situation.
Everything went well from "Make New Connection" - via the Wizard. First
there were only 2 choices : Dialup Internet and Accept incoming connections.
The other two choices were greyed out....

DSL Network Connection Problem? by
v
Hi Experts,
I have an 18 month old box self-assembled (Box 1) with Win2K SP4 and one
that goes back at least 10 years - Box 2, also self-assembled. DSL was
running on both (one at a time, of course) for over 2 years.
Box 2 has had no problem at all with DSL.
After about a year, after Box 1...

Hi Experts,
I have been watching this parade of attempts to access my Win2K kernel.
Is it reasonable to assume that these are safe or? My Kerio firewall is
grabbing them by the throat every time one comes by. Great guy Kerio :-)
TIA

S-PVA monitor ? by
philo
Doing research for a friend of mine who is a web designer
(but does have Usenet)
he currently has a large CRT monitor that is intermittant
and has been to a few stores to look at LCD monitors.
He claims that none of them come even close to rendering the fine detail
that he sees with his CRT.

music player by

I just picked up a small music player (irock 530) that has a USB connector.
It didn't come with the USB cable, however.
The connector is very tiny and I haven't been able to get a connector or an
adapter.
First, if there is a better newsgroup for this problem, let me know.
I would like to...

Screen filters were common on old CRT monitors, but do these serve any
useful function on a laptop computer, eg elimination of glare /
static? If so any particular recommendation?

I get the distinct feeling that JimL (who may also be posting as

usenet and is very much enjoying getting all his new 'friends' to run around
answering his questions or is a very acomplished troll.

Question on using lightscribe to print DVD label by
[email protected]
I am a new user of the lightscribe method of labeling disks. My Epson
R320 printer is crapping out, so I thought I would try a different
method that did not require a printer. So I bought a LG lightscribe
SATA 22X DVD Burner (OEM).
What I find is that I can't print color labels with a color...
