Nero upgrade from v5.5 to v6 problem: 'drive is in use by another application' There is much about this in the web and usenet litrerature - possibly exclusively with WinXP - there appears to be a solution in which something called IMAPI has to be controlled. However, I have the problem with...

EAC rips too fast by
EAC ripped at about 10x on my old Lite-On burner. This is using the secure mode. I have a new LG burner, and the speed starts right out at about 18x and works up to the high 30's by the end of the rip. That's pretty fast. Does it sound right to you? The rips are fine. Norm Strong

Redbook by Larry B
Pardon my naivete. I understand that burning an audio CD conforming to Redbook standards is desirable. Does this mean that the copy is a bit-for-bit copy?? Which common burning programs will make "exact" copies of CD's?? I now have Record Now DX that came with my burner. Does it?? Thanks, LarryB

Unable to access CD-ROM by Maxi
No matter what CD-ROM I put in the drive (Samsung 52X), it is not recognized by Windows XP. When I go to My Computer, it shows the name of the CD but when I double-click it, right-click Open or right-click Auto-play it, it doesn't respond. I have three partitions, C: (NTFS) D: (FAT32) and E:...

I'm looking for something akin to Taiyo Uden CDR media: great reliability (first consideration) and reasonable price. Is there an analog in DVD-R media? Thanks for any suggestions. -- David Arnstein
