Combo drives/rewriters? by Tony Stanford
As I said in another thread, I'm looking to buy an external drive that will write/rewrite CDs and DVDs. I notice on some retailers' websites that sometimes these kits are described as combo drives, sometimes as just dvd writers/rewriters, but they all do the same thing. What precisely is the...

verifying time twice as long as burn time by mfb2
I'm using Nero6 and an LG GSA 4082B on DVD+RW 4x media. If I choose the option to verify the files after they've been burned, the verify stage is like twice as long as the time to do the burning. Has anyone got an idea what could be causing this? Thanks.

Write on a regular CD by vladislav
Hi, Is there a way to mark a regular CD (not CDR or CDRW) in any way? I'm working on a projet where we inspect CDs for our clients and have to mark them as "inspected". Of course, we can use paper stickers etc, but it would help us tremendously if we could use some kind of electronic marks. Can...

99 min cdr worth the risk? by Trucking
I'm a newbie when it comes to cdr. From reading the faqs, guides, and googled around, I found that the 90/99 min cdr aren't supported by all cdrom. It could write on my burner but it's not guaranteed to be read by other cdrom drive. From the faq I've read, it said 80 min cdr should be safe. The...
