PC Cleanup on New Dell Computer by
[email protected]
Has any have any experience using the PC Cleanup program supplied with
new Dell Computers (it in the Start/All Program/Dell Computer/Dell
Support Center folder). If so, what functions does it provide and is
it worth the effort to run?
Thanks for any insights/tips.

15WU+ laptop screen by
Ron Hardin
A scratch and dent E6500 somebody got came with a
15WU+ screen.
Whatever its resolution, things are too small to
read with your glasses on. Nearsighted people
like me can remove glasses and bend close to the
screen.
On the other hand, you can fit a lot of those tiny
things on the screen at...

Dell E510 Factory Restore with Second Hard Drive Question by
Von Fourche[_2_]
Long time no post for me!
I have a Dell E510 running Windows XP. It came with one hard drive,
around 70gb or so. About a year and a half ago I added
a second hard drive inside. It's larger, around 500gb. In the past, when
my computer only had one hard drive, I would do a complete factory...

Yet Another Resolution Question by
Boris[_5_]
My dad has a Dell desktop, vintage E510/520, I can't remember right now.
I do have all the specs, but he lives 120 miles away. He has onboard
video (GMA945?), and has been running a Samsung 21" widescreen monitor
under the wrong resolution for years, with enlarged text, so he can see
better. ...

install 64-bit Win7 on 32-bit XPS M1330 laptop? by
Timothy Daniels[_4_]
The page at the Crucial.com site for Dell's XPS M1330 laptop
(http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=XPS%20M1330)
implies that a 64-bit OS, say Windows 7, could run on a 32-bit
computer hardware architecture and be able to address more than
3.5GB - actually 8GB in the case of the XPS...

No Original System Configuration by
Boris[_5_]
Anyone know why, or experience themselves, that when I go to the Dell site
to look at the machines I've bought over the years from Dell, under My
Products and Services, none of the 10 machines show Original Configuration?
It used to work just fine, as recently as a few days ago.

We've had two Latitude E6400 batteries go bad

AC power, but suddenly the orange battery charge
light starts saying bad battery.
If you take the machine off AC power it turns off
instantly.
The battery indicates full charge on the battery...

XPS laptop with mSATA card by

Can you turn off the Intel Acceleration and make the mSATA card "available"
as a normal drive so its partition shows in Disk Management? We'd prefer to
not use it as a cache.
Thanks.

Recommend a 17" laptop? by

I am looking at purchasing a 17" laptop and wondering if anyone in
this group has one they would recommend. While I would prefer Dell, a
recommendation for a non Dell product might also be considered.
Thanks,
Larry

I replace the HD with a big one, just wondering if

Hi,
I've got an E510 Core 2D 2.8 gHz desktop (2005) that I just cleaned out.
I lifted the processor cooling tower, which separated the heat sink from
the top of the processor. I noticed that the paste on the top of the

Question: Should it be...
