Memory timing question? by
John
Hi,
Just looking for a little help on understanding tRAS settings. I found this
article
http://www.mushkin.com/mushkin/pop-up/latencies.htm
that states
Any tRAS setting lower tRCD + CAS + 2 cycles will allow the memory
controller to close the page “in your face!” over and again and that will

ATT BUGGY 3200+ by
bryso
Yo m8 my advice to you is to drop the multiplier to about 11 and bump
the fsb way up see what it is comfortable running at , there will be
certain fsb speeds that it will not be happy with but it is trial and
error . ps what is the mobo on your rig

AI7 - OCZ EL PC3200 Platinum Limited-Edition (part 3) by
Wayne Youngman
Hi,
I am still stuck, can't get my system stable when using some *tight* OCZ
PC3200. Prime95 will fail or the machine will reboot.
It has been nearly two months now, I already RMA'ed the memory back to OCZ
and got a replacement, but sadly my system is unstable. I wanted to
overclock this system...

Am I Correct? by
I have a P4 2.8 800 fsb, running DDR 466 ram, I am able to get the CPU to
overclock better than when I was running DDR 433 ram.
If I used DDR 500 ram, cpu would clock higher?
What would a 3.2g cpu with DDR dual channel 500 or more overclock too?
Am I correct in this thinking?

old K6 for emu machine by
Daveman750
I am trying to overclock my old K6 (NOT K6-2, as in no 3D-NOW) as much
as possible to use it for an emu machine and to record TV shows w/ the
TV tuner card. The stock speed is 300 MHz and it's one of the new
(well, relatively) .25 micron K6 chips. First, would you recommend
lapping the heat...

the VP6, so my two questions are these:
1. Where in the U.K. can I get the adapters to allow me to use the Tualatins

5V rail gone bananas!!! by
Phil Weldon
Use your digital multimeter. Just check the +12 volts and +5 volts at one
of the drive power connectors (the four position in-line white Molex
connectors); black is ground, red is +5 volts, and yellow is + 12 volts.
Also try MotherBoardMonitor to monitor your voltages; it uses the
on-motherboard...

Power supply? 120mm or dual 80mm? by
David Yackness
Hi everyone,
I've decided that it's finally time to upgrade the old power supply to
something that can pull a little more air out of the system.
What seems to provide better cooling yet keep the system quiet?
A single 120mm fan or 2x 80mm fans?
Thanks!
