Multisession help please by Jack Winberg
Hi Gang: I am completely unsuccessful at burning multisession CDs in which my CD burner can SEE ALL of the sessions, it only sees the LAST one. I know that it is important to leave the disk "open" until the final session, and then close it, but this does not seem to help. System is P 4 at 2.2...

Look at the internet patch from MS Corp. by Avi Nahir
The increase in spam is amazing. I got today 70 messages, about 5 of them ok. No problem, I have great Outlook filters, but it's getting so I can't leave my mailbox alone without it's getting full. Me too, I'm getting trigger happy. I wish it would stop. What REALLY hurts - I'm getting lots of...

S/VCD with Nero 6 by Nobody
HI, I am using the demo Nero 6 to burn S/VCDs. When I play them, they automatically go from one file to the next. Is there any way to make the files stop until I use the remote. I would hope this would be done with the menu? PS. The demo version does have have a help file. Is this because it is...

After Burning with Nero, CD drive won't work until reboot by TommyDale
Anyone else seen this? Using Windows XP SP2, LiteOn LTR-52327S CDR and LiteOn SOHW-832S DVD-RW with all latest updates and firmware. Once the burned CD or DVD is done, that drive will be recognized correctly, but the disk in the drive will not load or be recognized until after rebooting.

I've seen article after article about various manufacturers "announcing" products, but if you visit the usual web sites for buying computer equipment, there ain't none to be had. So, any word one when we'll see actual products instead of just announcments? :-). I could use a 50GB backup device...

NERO - Soundtrax by [email protected]
Anyone use this and Nero Mix? Looked at it for a friend and noticed Nero Mix has a straightforward file save - drop down box has LAME MP3 in it and it saves it in MP3 format that is playable in Win Media player. However SoundTrax which he wants to use has a bizarre un-intuitive save box. It has...

Sony CD-R media by Mike S.
Haven't bought blank CD-R's in a while. Staples is running a special on Sony 48X "Made In Taiwan" media. I figured it's probably CMC Magnetics, who have gotten better in recent years (e.g. the good comments on the HP discs sold by Staples) so I have it a try. Surprisingly the ATIP identifies the...

CD drive won't read disks! by Sam Ormes
My home-built Soyo tower started out with a normal internal CD drive. Worked fine for years. I added a parallel-port BackPack CD Burner. Both drives continued to work fine. I added a TDK Firewire DVD Burner. It works fine as does the BackPack. However...now the internal 56X works but will not...

CD rom by Jewitt
A friend of mine has a cd rom and everytime she reboots the computer says it has found a incompatible atapi device, it gives you an option to press f1 to carry on (i think) and the drive can be used as normal but if she reboots it does the same thing.

Where do you get Mitsui etc? by Louise
I'm looking to purchase some high quality DVD+Rs for my new Plextor 708. I want the best archival quality I can get, and of course, I'd like them to burn at 8x since the Plextor can do that. I'm under an impression that Mitsui is very well thought of, but don't find them available. Where can one...

MP3 or WMA by Click
I have seen several reference claiming that for the same file size WMA is better than the original MP3. It seems that most people except the diehard Microsoft haters accept this now. But what about the newer versions of MP3 with VBR how does this compare to WMA? -- Thanks in advance Remove the...
