Nero 6 claiming all blank CDs have insufficient space by
jesus X
Suddenly, it seems my copy of Nero 6 thinks all my blank CDs don't have enough
space to accept a recording. I make a compilation, like the one right now which
is 85 megs, and pop in a blank disc, and upon trying to burn it, I get the
following error dialog:

screensaver plays Audio CDR; how to stop? by
jetstar88
Am not new to computers, and yet never had this issue before. Could be
cause I rarely (if ever) left an Audio CD in the PC when not using it.
Would play it or copy it and then remove it. Last week, though I
created some semi-coasters (two or more songs unplayable or with
flaws) and while they were...

skipping CDR's/configuration compromises by
jetstar88
The CDR's I've been copying to put in the car CD player had been
having a skipping problem. Not a lot, usually 1 or 2 songs very close
to or at the start or end of the disk, but enough to cause me to look
for a better way (have tried somewhat better media, and that seemed to
make no difference)....

CD rom by
Jewitt
A friend of mine has a cd rom and everytime she reboots the computer says it
has found a incompatible atapi device, it gives you an option to press f1 to
carry on (i think) and the drive can be used as normal but if she reboots it
does the same thing.

My 40x CDRW can burn at 12x/16x max. Any ideas? by
Jim
Hi all,
I can only burn CDs at 16x max (sometimes only 12x). I am 99% certain it's
not the drive because I witnessed the same problem with another drive.
Does anyone know of anything I can try to correct the problem? At least I
can burn, but at 16x it's not going as fast as I'd like it...

.GHO to DVD by
Jim
Just dug out my oem copy of Ghost 2002 which I received packaged with a
motherboard. Hence I'm very new to this application.
Since I have a DVD burner I'd rather use 1 or 2 DVD's over a half dozen
or more CDRs.
I've created the .gho image to a different partition on the hard drive.
But when I...

DVD-ROM Drive No Longer Plays DVDs by
Jim
I have an older (two years or so) Pioneer internal CD/DVD-ROM (116R) that's
part of a Sony Vaio Desktop running Windows ME.
The drive will play audio CDs fine. However, it no longer plays
pre-recorded DVDs. I've tried several to ensure that it wasn't one
particular disc.
The DVD do not appear...
