Have you ever heard this "rumor" before?? by The Space Boss
Have you ever heard a rumor that after burning a music or data CDR that you should wait for a period of time (usually like between 5 - 15 minutes) before playing it or reading data (or exposing it to any type of laser) in order to give the "newly burned" ink dyes time to "settle in" and "solidify"?

Reliability of CD-R vs. DVD-R by David Mittnacht
I'm thinking of getting a DVD writer, mostly because I can backup lots more data on one disc. But I'm curious, is there any information on which medium is more reliable for long-term storage? Regards, Dave

Strange inCD behaviour by Terry Pinnell
I copied some files to a CD I use for general backups etc, using ahead's inCD on my Teac CD writer, dragging from one of my HD folders to the inCD CD folder. But instead of it actually copying the file, say D:\Docs\Example.gif, it produced a sort of 'ghost' file, which Properties says is in this...

My Plextor 12/10/32A (firmware 1.04) with Nero that have had absolutely no problems burning CD-Rs up till now are having problems with a spindle of TDK 48x that I bought. I've burned 3 coasters out of nine tries. When I went looking for other blank media to try I noticed that everything now...

Just dug out my oem copy of Ghost 2002 which I received packaged with a motherboard. Hence I'm very new to this application. Since I have a DVD burner I'd rather use 1 or 2 DVD's over a half dozen or more CDRs. I've created the .gho image to a different partition on the hard drive. But when I...

Feurio problem by XPG
Here's my problem: I updated my version 1.67 to 1.68, and now I can't print covers. "Couldn't load Language-Modul:English." (sic) Yes, you can fix it by downgrading to 1.67. Just execute the 1.67 and "update". It's a clean process, you'll lose nothing. I tried doing the installation...

I am researching the following duplicators and am hoping someone here has had experiences with using these models. The unit would be used mainly for duplicating data CD's that contain files in EBCDIC format. Currently, we make one at a time and I usually have to burn at 4x speed to guarantee...

Making all sessions visible by Howard Kaikow
I got careless when adding a track to a data CD-R, I chose New, instead of Open, so all I can view is the final session. Does Nero have tools to recover the other tracks? If not, what software is available to make all files again visible? -- http://www.standards.com/; Howard Kaikow's web...

Skips in Audio CD's by Fubar1000
I have a Plextor 24/10/40A using Nero 5.5 . Often when I make audio CD's I'll have maybe one or two skips on the CD. Not bad, but I'm just wondering what could be causing it.I use good media and have nothing running in the background when I burn.
