Splitting ISO files by [email protected]
I'm installing software on my PC by mounting one ISO file (with DAEMON manager) but the software asks me to insert the 4th CD at some point (i.e. the 4th ISO file) - Is there a way of splitting one ISO file into four somehow? Thanks.

Roxio sucks by E. Brent Price
Here's the email I want to send to Roxio, but I can't. I don't remember my login information from last June. I tried to get a hint but I had to register the product. I registered. Asked for a hint again, nothing. Tried calling Customer Support. Got an answering machine. I'm tired of jumping...

What does all this mean?? by half_pint
This is a scan disk from a cdr which was a failed audio disk re-used as a directed data disk. I have had some problems with it but I seem to have recovered the disk (although scandick said it failed to recover the disk!!) 348082+360= 348442 sectors seem to have been used on the two audio tracks...

If one program "ERASES" a DVD+'RW' disc by David Carmichael
This might seem like a strange question.. But... If one program "ERASES" a 'DVD+RW' disc should all software and set-top boxes see the disc as empty and ready to be written to? I am not talking about formatting a disc for use with many software programs such as 'InCD'

Good Taiyo Yudens? by Tha Anonymous
Not sure if this is the right group to ask, but I'll ask anyway; if another group would be better, please tell me which one. I just got some Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs, unbranded but with only a HP logo embedded into the disc (same color as the layer) that you can only see if you look closely. I know...

Differences between cdr's by Dan G
All marketing, no difference. Audio, or music CDR's are required for audio recorders but the discs themselves are no different. They have a special coding on them that identifies them as "audio" to the drive. "bill" wrote in...

MP3 burning.... Advise appreciated. by Jim
How do you set the order of songs to be played back when burning MP3s to CDs or DVDs using the Nero MP3 burning module? Nero seems to keep auto arranging and burning them in alphabetical order. What role does the M3U playlist perform in the process? Will files recorded with mixed bit rates...

New Lite-On LTR-523275 Not Being Recognized as a Burner by Steve Lee
I just installed the new burner and all my burner apps, Nero, CloneCD, CDRWin and etc don't seem to recognize it as a burner. In Nero, it doesn't even show up and in CDRWin, it only sees it as a CD-ROM, not a burner. I'm running Windows XP Pro. Can someone please tell me what could be causing...

Interpreting Nero CD-DVD Speed results? by Larc
I've looked high and low and can find only spotty information about the meaning of Nero CD-DVD Speed disc quality test results. Even the manual doesn't say a single word about interpretation of PI Errors, PI Failures and Quality Score for DVDs. It doesn't mention what settings should be used for...

DAO vs TAO by David Rafky
While I understand (conceptually, at least) the difference between TAO and DAO, which will give best results (i.e., fewer errors) with (a) data back-up, and (b) music? Note: I only use single sessions and want a few seconds between songs, and I want data to be as accurate as possible)?

unknown video format by Eric Gisin
I have a video that claims to be mpeg, but does not have a mpeg/asf/avi header. The following header repeats every 2352 bytes, so it must be some CD format. What is it? 0 00 ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff 00 00 00 00 02 10 01 01 62 0f 01 01 62 0f 00 00 01 ba 21 00 01 00 b b !

DVD Rom drive that reads DVD-R, -RW, +R, +RW by Harry Muscle
I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a DVD ROM (not a burner) drive that can read all four of the DVD disc formats? All of the drive reviews I've read so far only mention -R & -RW, but no mention of +R & +RW. If anything I need a drive that can read the +R & +RW since that's what we use at work...
