lcd monitor/on or off by
Bob
Just purchased a 17 in lcd monitor, first one I've owned. This is probably a
dumb question, but when the monitor is switched off, should the power supply
be turned off also, unplugged. Something about the green light glowing at
all times seems to bother me. Then again, unplugging a lot might not...

Thinkpad T20 problems - Power and crashing by
Nick
Hello,
I recently "inherited" a T20 from a family member who said it was
broken. I checked it out and it does have a couple problems. First, the
battery holds no charge. If you try to run it on battery, it will last
about a second then die. Second, it experiences random crashes in the
form of the...

Are these ideal for gaming? What should one look for in specs. Are the
technologies good enough to replace a good CRT maonitor for sharpness?

lcd monitor by
mikeoncroton
I have an Envision lcd monitor which is 4 1/2 years old. In the past week
it began to go black for one or two seconds. The power light stays on but
the screen goes blank. It seems like it is happening more often so I
checked all connections but still have the same problem. I ran...

SATA speeds by
Jimmy Neutron
I bought a new hd and Sisoft Sandra shows it have only 40 mb/s speed (average 16
ms). What happened to SATA 150 mb/s transfer speeds? The hd is Western Digital
250Gb (should be 8.5 ms access time) and it's connected to a 865Pe/G Neo2
motherboard.
Should I buy a dedicated SATA card?

What raid do I need? by
Michael C
I want to raid a system so that 2 drives store the exact same data, so a
pair of 80gigs would come out to a capacity of 80gig, not 160. Is that raid

Thanks,
Michael
