powerleap ripoff. by Jeptha
Well i finally received my powerleap pro-mmx adapter and I now can't believe that I wasted $100 on the piece of junk. The included utilities disk was NOT included. And the unit itself will not work. The speed is 66mhx the tweaked speed is 400 mhx at 6.0 CLKMUL the voltage is 2.2 volts

The story of my Packard Bell by philo
Though I'm an old timer who took a few Fortran IV classes back in the days of punch cards. I hated those punch cards so much that I swore I'd never touch a computer again. Though I did briefly own a TI-99 back in 1982 or so...I eventually grew afraid of computers. Not only did I hate them. I hated...

OT Interesting Note by Kevin Childers
Spoke to one of HPs Road Warriors today. Helped him get set-up for some sales event on the road and what not. He (an reportedly his coworkers) are really happy with their brand new HP laptops. No surprise there, given every sales guy loves a new toy, but the when I asked about the OS, it wasn't...

Groaning fan sound on startup - PB650 by TonyG
My machine has a groaning fan sound when it is cold. It goes away maybe after 5 minutes, sometimes after 30 minutes or more. It has been doing this for over a year, so I don't think it's a critical problem, just really, really annoying. I tend to want to kick it to shut it up, which can't be good...
