How to get a response from Aria ? by
Ben
Ok, I've always been a big Aria fan, but I'm starting to have doubts...
Order a tft monitor and paid for their 'dead pixel check'. Monitor arrived
a week last Thursday, powered it up and found dead pixels.. good start.
Called Friday morning and was offered a refund for the check which...

Replacement key caps for Inspiron 8000 by
Tiny Tim
I need a few replacement key caps for my Dell Inspiron 8000 laptops as they
lettering is wearing off. Dell are playing silly buggers. The keyboard is
otherwise just fine so I don't really need a full replacement. Can anyone
recommend a cheap source for such things?
Thanks,
Tim.

Right angled USB cables by
Jim Howes
I am looking for a manufacturer or supplier of USB cables (A to B, aka device
cable) with right-angled connectors, to USB 2.0 cable specifications. (Reason
being lack of room in a particular device configuration for a straight cable)
Any ideas?

Scan Computers very poor service by
Pete Evans
Just wanted to alert people here to yet more poor service from Scan
Computers
They may seem to have a lot of bargains but my experience of them is very
bad.
They refuse to refund any carriage in either direction when faulty goods are
returned. Their terms and conditions allow for a refund but...

Rigs/Cases for testing components? by
Paul Hutchings
I'm not sure quite how to describe this, but I'm sure I've seen cases
designed for workshop use where you need to have bits hanging around being
tested and installed/removed etc..
I'm also sure I saw them on the www.kustompcs.co.uk website, but now I
can't find them.
If I recall they are made of...

Ideal Customer Service by
Proctor
I bought a webcamera from Ideal Computing. At the end of January it became
faulty, so I sent it back to them. This is the level of service that I have
experienced. It started ok, but I would like your comments.

Dell Warranty by
Chris
Do Dell's desktops come with a warranty seal on them, to prevent you from
upgrading parts yourself? I've had a quick look at thier T&Cs but still no
clearer!
Thanks

cash.

CCL are a complete disaster! by
TX2
I just felt i had to write that.
I'm not going into details, but despite my most recent order (a full
system self-build) being 'monitored' thru their new systems (splutter)
and the Customer Services Manager agreeing to keep an eye on it, CCL
still managed to **** up.
No notification the order was...

Mesh Computers - impressed. by
RB
The HD on a system I bought from Mesh 2 years 11 months ago died
recently. Posted it to them on Monday with the RMA number they'd given me
and got a replacement by courier on Friday. Was formatted with a copy of
the OS they'd originally supplied plus other gubbings so could have been
just slotted...

Praise for okidirect.co.uk - OKI 5300 printer by
text news
I have spent quite some time in this newsgroup venting my frustration about
companies such as Dabs who, unless things have changed recently, you cannot
even telephone. When things go wrong they can make you feel almost suicidal
with frustration.
Today I would like to heap praise yes PRAISE!! on...

Info wanted (on returning an IBM HD to Hitachi, netherlands) by
Chunky
I'm looking for a little bit of info, maybe someone here's had to do this

I've got a dead 60 gig Deskstar (aka deathstar) which has now died.
Anyone returned one to the Netherlands recently, and what's the cheapest way
of doing so?
Also, I have a feeling its "one of those" drives, you...
