Jimmy Nilzohn
Greetings,
Anyone with a crystal ball? I need to build a A64 within a few weeks,
but I feel like I should wait until the Nforce4-based boards ship.
Anyone know when they'll hit the shelves in Europe?
Thanks.

Ghost and SATA/RAID disks ? by
Wayne Fulton
I'm planning to use SATA/RAID disks for the first time, with either a
Asus A8V or MSI K8N Neo2 motherboard, and an AMD64 cpu. I use Ghost
for system backups, which boots to a Dos floppy, and so the SATA/RAID
is a big concern for it. Can it still work?
The concern is about this Dos floppy for...

stuck in RESET.
Anyone?
I tried a new CPU already and that had no effect. I also tried
adjusting SW10 (the CPU/memory adjustment) from PC133 to PC100 etc and
that...

Sony Playstation 3 play by

First, what is Rambus XDR DRAM? There are speculations claiming Playstation
3 will use NVIDIA's NV50 GPU and Rambus' XDR DRAM. This morning the rumor
caused RMBS stock price jumped almost two dollars a share in the pre-market.
I have short positions on Rambus. This month, I added more shorts when...

This is almost entirely a function of the motherboard, and as a

Upgraded the CPU on my antique HP 8370 Pavillion by
Robert Casey
This old Win 98 box I was able to upgrade from a Pentium II
333MHz 100FSB to a Pentium III 551MHz 100FSB. SOme months
ago I couldn't get this system to work with a Pentium III
at 650MHz.
I picked up some used CPUs at a hamfest this morning,
blew a whole $20 for 4 CPUs, two Pentium IIs and...

Rui Pedro Mendes Salgueiro
Hello
Recently our department bought a Fujitsu-Siemens Celsius V810 with
4 GB memory. This has two Opterons processors and a D1692 motherboard,
similar to a Tyan Thunder K8W (S2885). The BIOS version is 1.04.1692
(2004/06/22).
The computer only shows 3.5 GB (this is both in the BIOS, the...

What's Cray been doing lately? by

Been wondering what Cray was upto recently. They were supposed to have
already released the Red Storm computer (now known as the XT3) in
Sandia National Labs by now, but I haven't heard much about it. Red
Storm has already been eclipsed by two other computers. So it looks
like the delays are caused...

Differences in Geforce 6-series lineup, am I right here? by
Anonymous Joe
Been trying to figure out what's what, and have decided than economically
only a 6600GT, 6800LE, or 6800 is feasible.
They are all priced about the same, with the 6800LE being about the
cheapest. Is it really as simple as the more expensive one is the best
logic?
From what I can tell:
6600GT =...
