Hi I have a problem in my compaq 3000 presario laptop. My screen has gone blank and it did not display anything. But the system is working fine and i can see very light monitor display. very very light. Can any one tell me how to bring back to its original display.

Further to my earlier questions: I know that with DVD players there are plus and minus systems and one won't play on the other format. How does this work with DVD-Rs? I don't want to copy footage onto a DVD-R and then find that some people can't use the disks. Peter
