New Athlon XP system by Dan
I'm building a new rig to be used mostly for gaming and I'm hoping to keep the price relatively low. I will be overclocking the system to keep the price low and performance high. I've only decided on the radeon 9600 pro for the graphics card, as it seems to offer good price/performance and is a...

XP2500 200FSB by Toby Groves
Well I took the plunge and grabbed an XP2500. Unfortunately it just doesn't want to know at 200FSB, regardless of the overall speed I set. It seems to be a reasonable overclocker, as I've currently got it at 2.3Ghz (184x12.5) at 1.675v and it's solid as a rock, but if I up the FSB any more then...

What RAM for 2800XP Barton? by raffe
I've built a PC based on Asus A7N8X with AMD 2800XP Barton CPU and 1GB RAM. To this day I haven't managed to overclock it. I wonder if this has something to do with the RAM I'm using which is 333Mhz. Since I am building a simmilar PC to have at work I wonder if buying 400Mhz RAM would be a better...

wich chip by Dave
Spend £50 on an XP1700 DLT3C from www.cpucity.com and then overclock it to XP2600 speed easily without any risk of damaging the chip. If your motherboard isn't up to it, then spend another £90 or so on an Epox 8RDA and you'll still end up having £60 left for beer :-) Dave "Graham"...

Arctic temps by QED, eh ?
Ran out of AS3 today. Used the Zalman (white) thermal goop. Don't know if it's a fair test, but I swapped an XP1700 x 224 = 2128MHz for an 1800 DLT3C@10 x 224 = 2240MHz - and full load went up from 57C to 64C. Regooping when AS3 supplies arrive, so I'll let you know the score. On a...

please can someone clarify, this is making my head spin :( (semi long) by +c0re-
The Nforce2 400 and nforce2 ULTRA 400 are two different chipsets correct? I've been told by one vendor that stocks a board I want that they are the same, but I believe the ultra is double the ram bandwidth. I see a heck of a lot of confusion on all the online shops I've looked at, I think the...
