Amd Athlon XP 2400+ required power supply by
[email protected]
Hi,
I just tried to install a motherboard, a MSI K7N2 Delta2-LSR with a
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ CPU. I saw that the motherboard has an extra 4 pins
12V connector. I know that pentium 4 CPUs need this connector but I
thought that AMD CPUs do not need this extra connector. I was wondering
why is it there...

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton) core temperatures. by
Shinu George
Hi,
I built myself an XP 2500+ machine, and at no load it is showing a CPU
temperature of about 57C. I did not use any thermal grease like
Arctic Silver, used the stock fan supplied by AMD, and the ambient
temperature was about 30C. Am I running too hot?
Thanks,
PS: Am I asking this in the...

AMD attacks DDR-II latency problems by
YKhan
DDR2 is negating the advantage of internal memory controllers. L3 is
now more than just an academic possibility, to claw back all of that.
(More than likely ZRAM L3 as other stories have stated.)

AMD Barton on KM133A chipset motherboard? by
Species
Hello.
My motherboard is an Asus A7V133-VM with KM133A chipset and the latest
Bios.
(I know all about how Bartons are meant for 166/333MHz FSB, and that
this motherboard only supports 133/266, and the multipliers will be out
etc, this doesn't worry me).
I am wondering, will a Barton CPU work...

AMD Cool n Quiet by

Is it worth enabling CnC with an Athlon64 X2 system ?
My concern is the CPU throttling and its effect on system performance.
What do people here think ? Is it a waste of time ?

AMD CPUs in ASRock motherboards by
magnate
Can anyone recommend a half-decent freeware CPU/motherboard temperature
monitor for WinXP?
I have a Sempron2600 in an ASRock K7VT4APro motherboard, both only a
few weeks old. The thermal cut-off shuts down the system within 30
seconds of the CPU load hitting 100%. I don't know what...
