Clocking for Abit AT8? (will be available in January) by
gold fingers
After quite thoroughly shopping (researching) around for the best
motherboard for me, I guess the AT8 is the closest to what I need.
Notice I said 'closest', I did make a wish list and realized that I
would never be able to cover everything on the list, but I did come
darn close. The things not...

Can you guys please clarify something. Been getting confused by the
web pages I have been reading.
If I want to upgrade my Socket A Duron 1800 then is 959 now the best
route for longevity?
If so, then does 959 mean I have to use an Athlon 64 cpu?
If all that is right...

ABIT AN8 Fatality POST CODES by
Chris Beckett
Does anyone know where I can fing ALL of the definitions for the Digital
post code display on this mobo'.
At present it is listed (post boot) as 1.7. but this is not listed in the
manual supplied and I am damned if I can find it on the ABIT Website either.
Thanks.

Strange 5v readouts by
Wad
Hi,
Strange +5v rail readout using both mbm5 and speedfan. Both show a
fluctuation between 2.17 and 5.41 v. I have tested the psu using a
multimeter and everything is good. So I can only assume the mainboard
is giving false readings or there is a problem with the mainboard. The
funny thing is...

fried mobo? by
Dennis Gamblin
I installed a athlon 2000+ in a GA-7ZX mobo (which was running with a 900
mhz processor) and got no post or beep codes, only fans and a green light
on the board respond. I found out later that the 2000+ was shorted(0 ohms
on the multi-meter). Now the Ga-7zx will not post and there are no beep
codes...
