Am I dreaming or is it possible to get this? by
AK
Hi
My elderly mother (78yrs old) has been having computer lessons. She is keen
to buy a second hand (i.e. cheap) computer to connect up to the internet.
Is there any recommended suppliers of refurbished machines online? She
doesn't want to pay a lot as she doesn't want to waste money if she...

PDA + Satellite Navigation? by
AK
I am looking for a satellite navigation system for my car. I have 2
options, first to have a dedicated GPS system fitted in the car or use a PDA
with all the GPS attachments. The latter sounds more interesting as I will
have a usable PDA. I have been looking...

Frustration at trying to find somewhere I can actually hold a mouse!! by

Now I know that subject line sounds a little odd, but bear with me ...!
I'm trying to make up my mind between three Logitech mice:
MX510
MX518
MX1000
The first two are cordless and the last wireless. Intended use for gaming
on new system I've just ordered. Apart from not being able to make up...

Vendor suggestion for wi-fi? by

Been having a look round for a wi-fi PCMCIA card. Cisco's Aironet's seem to
be quite a bit more expensive (nothing new there then!), but as far as I can
see Prism2 based cards are the only other sensible option for compatibility
with many wireless apps. Most of the brands I've found with Prism2...

Gaming rigs by

I've been looking around recently for a new PC around about the £2k mark.
As I already have a monitor, I just want to buy a box with top end bits in
it. Panrix have always come out good in the past in magazine benchmarks,
but I found their website to be thoroughly crap and the choice very...

Where to buy ... heart vs. price? by
al
I'm hoping to buy a Logitech Z-5500 speaker set at the moment and have found
them at varying prices and delivery costs:
Overclock - £211.31 + £8.45 = £221.24
Overclockers - £216.20 + £15.57 = £231.77
MicroDirect - £211.44 + £5.88 = £217.32
PIXmania - £210 + £6.50 = 216.50 - £7 rebate (Pricerunner...
