michel
hi there all
I have an external cdrw from freecom (firewire). I would like to
replace the drive inside with a dvd writer or perhaps a HD. Is it
possible? would winXP recognise the drive or is it dependent on some
bios in the box?

How do I lock the AGP/PCI for MSI 865P Neo? by
Michael Lee
I tried to overclock my P4 2.8GHz by changing the FSB. I noticed that the
frequency for AGP/PCI and memory will change together with the FSB. I am
unable to just change the FSB only. How do I lock the AGP/PCI frequency so
that only the FSB is changed? If not, i can't do overclocking.

faster proc... celeron vs p3 by
Lefty
have a celeron 1ghz (128kb cache) and a p3 733
which would be 'faster' before i tear out one and lay down the other..
1. the celeron is running on 100fsb as opposed to the 133 for the 733
2 the celeron has 128kb/cache and the p3 256kb
3. speed kills.. but does the 1000 vs 773 make up for the...

Lian Li PC7 case missing removable drive caddy by
Burning_Ranger
I just bought a Lian Li PC7 case which is supposed to have a removable metal
caddy at the bottom to hold 5 HDDs. Instead I got a permanent 2 drive bay.
Apparently the newer revisions don't have the 5 bay one anymore. Does anyone
know of any places still selling the PC7 with the 5 drive bays or know...

Any BX Chipset problems reported at 133MHZ?? by
Salvatore
I am sure I fried my Floppy controller on one system (ABIT BF6). Other BX
(Abit BX6, BX133) Systems are fine at 133MHZ
After OC, I saw the data from the floppies degrade over 10 minutes and now
are unusable. Just replaced the caps too.

I have a Intel Pent 111 chip that is set for 550 speed and a older SOYO
motherboard that has a top speed at either 650 or 660. I overclocked it at
605 and everything worked fine.Today I thought I would see if I could get
660 out of it and now the computer will not boot up. At first I could just

UK source for good quality socket 7 sized fans by
Michael Green
I want to replace the fans (not the HSF) on two socket 7 sized heat
sinks. The current fans are about 45mm diameter. Most fan suppliers
only have 60mm and 80mm parts (and tiny 40mm low flow parts).
The CPU's are AMD k6 2 at 300Mhz and Celeron at 300Mhz.
I could buy new HSF units and change the...

BSOD by

Your problem is probably a Device and/or Driver.
I would start by taking a long look at the Creative Sound Card. Such as
uninstalling it and the related Software. Also try putting it in another
PCI slot. I would pop the Creative down to slot 4.
Also Creative cards have problems with XP's virtual...
