Which mobo to use with XP 2800+ 333 Mhz. ? by Ben in TN
Ok, I'm about to build a new pooter and I haven't been keeping up with the latest and greatest. My current computer is a XP 1800+ on an Abit KR7A mobo with a gig of ram. Anyway, it looks like the XP 2800+ 333 Mhz. is the best chip for the money on Pricewatch.com. @ $115 so I was wondering if any...

Highlandish wrote: I had a perfect system for playing games, the ATI powercolor 9700 non-pro card cranks out any game I throw at it with full on beefed up settings, but the 2000+ cpu seemed to be holding me back and it was time to upgrade. I purchased the 2800+ and installed it with a ...

nVidia dusk demo on ATI. by Ben Pope
Hi everyone... Anybody got it working? I've placed the Dawn OpenGL wrapper and the cat 3.6 OpenGL driver in the bin directory... it works (there are no errors), but you seem not to get any textures. Any ideas? Just wondering what Dawns little sister looks like :-)

XP 2800+ crashes my ATI 9700 system by BF
60C seems really high for an idle temp. Mine idles at 32C with a room temp of about 23C (73 F). That is only 9C higher than room temperature. I would solve the heat problem first. It just might solve your crashing problem too. "Highlandish" wrote in...

Are Sempron Processors any good? by Big Daddy
I was looking at a new PC on Ebay and I saw one at a good price with a Sempron processor. I read that they won't work for 64 bit and there slower than athlons. My main concern though is are they compatible with everything a Athlon is compatible with? I'm asking because I heard Celeron...

question about stability of AMD XP processors by BillW
The real answer to your question is not which processor but who to buy it from. If you are using it and depending on it for business then select a local dealer that can support it if problems developed. Overclocking and online games are not an option if you are depending on getting...
