HP 4550 - Dirty mark along edge by Eli
I just replaced the drum kit in a ColorJet 4550. Since then all pages have a continuous, 1/3" wide, top-to-bottom black smudging along one edge. Somehow, I don't think it's the drum itself. It was handled well and it installed without a problem. Any ideas what other component may be causing...

I'm trying to print to a page 2 inches x 6 inches. Oddly the Canon driver doesn't seem to have a way to define new page sizes. Is it possible?

Wide Format Confusing by measekite
Most of the reasonable price wide format printers like the frontrunning Canon i9900 print a maximum size of 13x19. Yes the typical frame sizes that have been around for years are 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20 as well as 16x25. While the typical wide format printer can accommodate an 8x10 and an 11x14...

Hello, I have two HP LaserJet 4050N printers on a small NT network. When trying to print certain graphic files, mainly TIFF's, directly from an imaging program (Imaging for Windows) the result is a black page. If the graphic is imported into a word processor it prints out fine. All other...

Lexmark #17 vs. #16 cartridge question by Scott
Looking for some advice... I will need to refill my Lexmark #17 cartridge soon but have a couple questions: 1) The #17 cartridge has less ink than the #16 model, but is that because it is filled with less ink but in the same sized cartridge/tank? 2) If the above is true, wouldn't that mean...

Paper Re-Use in laser printers by Fearty
I'm sorry if this seems a rather dumb question...... In the office where I work I despair at the amount of paper wasted from printer mess-ups where paper comes out blank or has just a tiny amount of print on them so I thought I could save waste by re-inserting this paper back into the laser...

Greetings, I have a friend who recently purchased a Canon MP780. The manual says that it doesn't support printing in Mac Classic mode, but the canon website (http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=OSCompatibilityAct&fcategoryid=123&modelid=10444&keycode=macdr) says that if the driver is...

If anyone has any idea how I might work around the following, I'd greatly appreciate it. Here's the setup: A Xerox XD130DF printer attached directly to a Windows 2000 computer. Two Windows XP connect to the Xerox printer via a LAN. They can both print on the Xerox, as can the Win2k computer, but...

Pls help with strange older hardware problem by
I ran into a setup with an HP DeskJet 420 hooked to an old, old Compaq Presario 850 (Pentium I, slow) running Win95. The setup works fine, no problems. But when I connect the selfsame printer to a more modern machine, it insists that something's wrong with the cartridge. (Ink light comes...

I've purchased several packs of Epson Premium Glossy A4 now and each sheet of paper seems to want to curl up as soon as you remove it from the pack... It's not bending crazily, but just enough so that my R200 doesn't want to take up sheet unless I curl the paper in the opposite...
