I'm about to move a processor from one motherboard to another for the first

the heatsink/fan, cleaning off the old thermal paste and then applying new

harddrive fans by
No One
I've seen various harddrive fans and I wonder if they make a difference.
I see how the ones that go in front of a harddrive could work, but the
ones that attach below a harddrive don't look like they would have
enough room to move air. What's the scoop?

Vantec Power Supply by
Paul Maskell
Hello,
I'm in the early stages of choosing components for a new PC.
First I've chosen a Vantec power supply because there're the ONLY make
that I've seen with a AC outlet on the back of the PSU (which is very important
to me). (The model I'm referring to is Vantec ION 400W ATX).
My question is:-...

LCD monitor for Compaq PC by
Lurker
We have a Compaq Presario 7465 PC and would like to change out the
original Compaq monitor with a Dell LCD monitor.
Would someone be kind enough to suggest a video card suitable for this
upgrade? I am somewhat concerned about the PCI slot compatibility
since the 7465 is pretty old.
Thanks in...

cooling efficiency. There's provision for up to 8 casefans. I'm just
wondering how you're supposed to power them? ie will they be connected
straight to the PSU on separate lines, or is there some way of connecting
the actual...

I'm starting to look at systems for a possible upgrade in the next few

using Adobe Premier 6.5 (may upgrade to pro, not sure yet).
Should I spend my money on the fastest CPU I can afford, a low-end dual CPU,

I'm trying to decide whether to add Ram to the 2 GB that I now have in
