Latest Athlon 64 product introductions by
Yousuf Khan
AMD introduced 4 new Athlon 64 and FX models. However each one seems to be
designed for three different types of sockets. Athlon 64 3500+ and 3800+ are
designed for the Socket 939, while Athlon 64 3700+ is designed for Socket
754. Meanwhile are now two FX-53 models, the older one designed for...

Some early benchmarks for P4EE by
Yousuf Khan
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=11670
Ace's Hardware seems to be seeing between 2-15% improvement from the 2MB L3
cache.
Ace's will also be doing a head to head against processors from a "rival"
processor manufacturer in a couple of days, when their NDA expires. Stay
tuned.

Processor heat dissipation, Leakage current, voltages & clockspeed by
The little lost angel
I know I'm a bit slow to start looking up this since the Prescott
thrust the issue into lime light. I didn't quite follow the major
discussion some weeks back. My friend got himself a spanking new
Prescott and claims it wasn't that hot despite claims. Yet Intel did
cancel the 4Ghz version so it got...

HT aan of uit by
Tinus
Beste mensen,
krijgen.
Graag jullie advies.

for data, combined with a single-ended bus for addresses. Get ready to be

Single-bit corrected errors by
Keith
I've been moving disk drives (DVD and HDD) around and upgrading OS
(SuSE 9.0 to 10.0) over the past couple of days. In the process
I've been playing with BIOS to get the drives ordered the way I
wanted (and figure out who listens to BIOS drive ordering ;).
While trying to figure out some...

64 bit chips and software ??? by
Harry Muscle
I was wondering if someone could maybe elaborate a little on the new 64 bit
processors that are comming out soon and how they will most likely affect
us.
First I'm wondering, can software written for the 64 bit processors run on
our current 32 bit ones? If not, what timelines do the big companies...

This will get difficult for AMD.
I like Turion :-)
Killing AMD is not in any PC user's interest.
