Noticing the little sensor I had an idea. Is there anyway that it could be linked up to my computer...

ATI recommends uninstalling COMPLETELY the old driver before installing the updated driver. But how will I be able to see anything with nothing driving the monitor? I'm a little confused. David Azose

CDrom etc. - why the audio cable? by Paul Jones
I've been installing CD/DVD reader/writer units in the PCs of friends and family for a while now (easy once I'd sussed "master" and "slave" ha ha) but I'm intrigued as to why sometimes they come with a tiny "audio cable". It looks like one end goes in the unit and the other in either the sound...

Low voltage shutdown? by Vegas007
Approximately how low could voltage go on a household current before a machine decides to turn itself off (go dead). A client of mine is having random turn-off issues and I cannot find any hardware or software reason of this. Their entire house is on two 20A breakers and I'm wondering if this is...

new, 2nd hard drive setup by David Azose

AGP and PCI-E? by Lexusan
I've heard different stories about AGP and PCI-E...some say AGP is better and faster...others say that PCI-E is better... The question is: what is the truth? How much, if any, performance increase would you see over identical cards, one being AGP and the other being PCI-E?

Phillips screw in back of Sun Ultra 30 computer, quite torn-up! :-) by Barry L. Bond
Greetings! I have a single screw, within a black "plastic" configuration, that holds the metal left panel of my Sun Ultra 30 computer system. The screw went in too tight. And, in trying to remove it, I have really seriously "messed up" the phillips head of the screw. (Stripped didn't...

Compaq Presario 6000 random reboots by rhox
For some reason my mom's computer keeps resetting randomly, even when it's idle. I don't know what, and I even removed a second hard drive that I had put in it hoping that it would give more power to the rest of the hardware, but that didn't change a thing, it still resets. Any suggestions? I'm...
