UTT memory chips? by
larry moe 'n curly
Are UTT (UnTesTed) memory chips really untested by their manufacturers,
or were they tested by their manufacturers and then rejected?
I can't believe that chip makers would produce untested chips, except
under contract, because they have to test chips to grade them by speed,
don't they?

KVM switch that can be controlled via software by
user
Does anyone know of KVM switches that can be controlled by sending
keystrokes from a program? The two I've tested seem to only recognize
keystrokes coming from the keyboard, and not those coming from the PC (from
a program simulating keystrokes).
A little more detail - the KVMs I have use...

How to connect extra case fans for Skybuck's Dream PC (2006) ? by
Skybuck Flying
Oh never mind lol.
I just found the page in the manual where it is explained a bit.
Page 2 dash 30.
Yeah we dutch people simply number all pages from 1 to zillion-1 ;).
We don't use page 2-6-4-7 etc... so that was a bit confusing... but now I
found it ;)

Bill Eversole
Hello,
A client of mine has an AOpen AX4SG-UN motherboard. Recently his IDE
boot drive went bad, and he replaced it with a Seagate 250 GB SATA
drive. With the new SATA drive set as his boot drive, the primary IDE
port is disabled in BIOS. There is no BIOS setting to get around this
restriction....

Gateway Profile 4 video problem by
garygw
I have a Gateway profile 4, I have no video and when I first turn the
system on I get one long then two short beeps.
I first thought it might be the inverter that went out, but the beeps
lead me to think its the video board.
Any ideas? Also where would the video board be located?

IDE fried, SATA will not boot by
Nick
I have a XP setup with primary IDE as storage disk and a SATA drive for
boot/XP. The IDE has fried and died on me. I now cannot boot the pc, it
says it cannot find boot record.
Could it that the SATA drive has gone also? Or is it that the SATA
cannot boot without the IDE in place?
